10:30 - 10:45 Astronomy Experience by Dr Sarah Crick

10:45 - 11:15  Acrylic Paint Experience with Farrah 

11:15  - 11:30 Break for brunch

11:30 - 12:30 Back to the canvas and continue painting! 

Astronomy Experience:

Take a moment to pause and ponder one of the most beautiful sights on Earth; Aurora! A chance to learn what causes these spectacular light shows and the reasons behind their vivid colours. We will also have a look at other planets in the Solar System and explore their aurorae too! All brought to you by Astronomy expert, Dr Sarah Crick. Sarah will be there for the whole workshop so you will have a chance to ask your space questions to Sarah and have them answered while you paint!

Awesome Aurora Acrylic Paint Experience:

Join us for the perfect blend of astronomy and creativity through the art of ZenStrokes. Let your brushes dance freely on the canvas while you paint a beautiful Aurora sceene. There will be flexible guidance available on the day or feel free to create a background of your choice.

Your paint experience will include the following:

• A tasty brunch!
• High quality paint brushes
• Vibrant acrylic paint colours (available to take home if you don’t finish)
• An A4 canvas brimming with possibilities
• A palette for your unique blends
• Step by step guide and help from the artist

- No prior painting experience is required

- Guidance age for the session: 9+

- You will be offered an optional apron to protect your clothing

- Farrah will be on hand for guidance and any questions

- Please arrive 15 minutes before the session start time to get settled
